With one in 36 children diagnosed with autism, this entry-level job is in big demand. As a Behavior Technician, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through play-based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA). • Assist in designing and implementing ABA therapy sessions for children ages 2-7 with autism and special needs.
• Apply behavior-based techniques to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Document progress, collect data, and support the development of treatment plans.

• A genuine desire to help children with autism and their families reach their goals.
• A steady supply of compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.
• A willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Schedule flexibility:
  Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm or other specified shifts.
• Minimum age 18 on the first day of employment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Optional advantages:

• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or related field.
• Experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, teaching, coaching, camp counseling).
• Interest in supporting a career in behavior analysis and related disciplines.

• Starting pay $18+ depending on experience.
• Earn up to 15 days paid time off after 90 days of full-time employment.
• Part-time employees eligible for sick leave.
• Become eligible to earn RBT certification.

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds and move quickly as needed.
• Must be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
