Overview
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Analyst position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Overseeing environmental programs and activities to ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Serving as a liaison with employees, internal stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Providing training and guidance to staff on environmental policies, procedures, and compliance obligations.
- Conducting environmental inspections, monitoring, and sampling, and analyzing related data.
- Researching emerging environmental regulations and compliance trends and develop recommendations for management.
- Preparing and maintaining regulatory applications, technical reports, and professional presentations.
This position is a confidential, non-union position and excluded from membership in the union.
This recruitment will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, biology, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience performing environmental and compliance related analyses and studies.
- Experience as an environmental consultant or environmental regulator is desirable.
- Full-time professional experience in a related field may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two (2) years.
- Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of application.
- Certification as a Nevada Certified Environmental Manager preferred.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is desirable.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Additional background investigations may be conducted periodically after employment.
Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
