the Team

The Accounting Team sits in the center of the action and is responsible for analyzing trends in the business, managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal policies, and reporting key results and insights to the management team and ownership group. The Accounting team is made up of individuals with meticulous attention to detail, a desire to make an impact, and the willingness to step in and solve the problem when one arises.

As part of the day‑to‑day operations, the team works closely with our Financial Planning and Analysis, Research and Development, Sales, Product Management, and Information Technology teams to ensure that data is accurate and presented in the most concise fashion possible.

JOB SUMMARY

The Temporary Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the accounting/financial aspects related to cash, inventory, fixed assets, intangibles, and research & development within the organization. This role ensures that all related financial processes are accurately recorded, compliant with accounting standards, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The Temporary Senior Accountant will work closely with other team members to help Bluberi optimize its resources to support the company’s growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all bank transactions are properly matched, recorded, and reconciled on a daily basis.
  • Manage fixed assets module and maintain accurate accounting for fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
  • Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions such as purchases, transfers, and write‑offs.
  • Support the month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded; prepare and maintain assigned general ledger reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow schedule as they relate to fixed assets, intangibles, and research and development.
  • Assist in providing requested documentation for assigned areas as it relates to (1) tax requests; and (2) the annual financial statement audit.
  • Review and monitor standard operating procedures. Enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department.
  • Leverage technology to streamline accounting operations.
  • Work with internal stakeholders across various departments (ex – warehouse, licensing, management, operations, financial planning and analysis) to ensure accuracy of information and financial inputs.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other staff members on day‑to‑day tasks; and
  • Ad hoc duties, tasks, and projects, as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, mainly with cost accounting, fixed assets and revenue;
    Public accounting experience a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experienced in large ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, Great Plains/Dynamics, SAP).
  • Excellent technical accounting, analytical, problem‑solving, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
