CAO - Chief Accounting Officer

Description We are looking for an experienced Chief Accounting Officer to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will oversee the organization's accounting functions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and integrity in financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with executive leadership to drive strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the organization's accounting operations, including financial reporting and compliance.

- Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial processes.

- Supervise month-end and year-end close processes to maintain timely and accurate financial records.

- Prepare and oversee the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards, including GAAP.

- Monitor and enhance budget processes to optimize financial planning and resource allocation.

- Mentor and guide accounting staff to foster attention to detail and team effectiveness.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

- Drive initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department. Requirements - Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial leadership roles.

- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

- Strong proficiency in managing month-end and year-end close processes.

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.

- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory standards.

- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders.
