Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00/yr
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant controller role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join a finance team in Las Vegas. In this critical role, you will assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient internal controls. The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller and other departments to support the financial health of the organization, with a focus on maintaining the integrity of financial records and improving operational efficiencies.
This position is ideal for a professional with strong accounting experience in a healthcare setting.
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage general ledger functions, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and closing procedures.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and healthcare industry regulations. Assist in enhancing accounting processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
- Audit & Tax Support: Assist in preparing for external audits and provide necessary documentation and supporting schedules. Coordinate with auditors during the interim and year-end audit process.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to management.
- Team Support & Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, helping to foster a high-performance team.

Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, billing, and compliance, to support the organization's overall financial health and strategic goals. - Ad Hoc Reporting & Projects: Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial reporting tasks as needed to support business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant controller role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
