Director Financial Systems

Overview

We are currently seeking to appoint a Director of Financial Systems for one of our clients, a rapidly scaling industrial organization with growing manufacturing and international operations. The business is investing heavily in its finance and reporting infrastructure to support continued growth, increased complexity, and public-company-level governance.

Reporting into Executive Leadership, this role will take ownership of the company’s financial systems landscape and act as the key interface between Finance and IT. The successful candidate will lead the development, optimization, and governance of core finance platforms, supporting accounting, reporting, consolidation, planning, and analytics across the organization. This is a high-impact position for a technically strong, CPA qualified, commercially aware finance systems leader who enjoys building scalable, automated solutions.

• Owning and enhancing core financial systems, including ERP and consolidation / reporting platforms
• Acting as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors for system changes, upgrades, and issue resolution
• Developing and executing a roadmap for finance systems improvement, automation, and standardization
• Leading or supporting ERP implementations, module expansions, and system integrations across finance and operations
• Ensuring data integrity, controls, and consistency across accounting, FP&A, and reporting processes
• Supporting SOX compliance, audit readiness, and financial systems controls

The ideal candidate will be CPA qualified and bring 8+ years of experience in financial systems, finance transformation, or accounting systems leadership. Strong hands-on experience with modern ERP platforms and CPM tools (such as One Stream or similar) is essential.
