We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our finance department and help drive our continued success.
Position Overview:The Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget preparation, and internal control policies. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the organization while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the finance and accounting team.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions.
- Monitor and analyze cost structures, particularly in manufacturing operations, to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and executive leadership to align financial strategy with business goals.
- Provide financial insights to support capital projects, expansion, and product launches.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing, preferably food manufacturing, required.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
