Overview
Vice President, Finance - Product Development and Design and Development Portfolio Management. The VP Finance partners with the Chief Product Officer and the business unit CFOs to ensure sound financial capital allocation decisions for investment in the design and development (D&D) portfolio, and to lead financial planning and analysis for the Product D&D spend. With approximately AUD $1bn annual investment in D&D, this role is a top priority for Aristocrat, supporting the strategy for the future.
This role supports the Chief Product Officer and the business unit CFOs in decision support and optimizing the global D&D portfolio spend.
What You ll Do- Partner with the Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer (both US-based), as well as the CFOs of Gaming, Interactive, and Product Madness, in decision support to optimize global D&D portfolio spend. Provide data-led insights supporting spend decisions and profitability projections linked to capital allocation.
- Facilitate and support processes and analysis required for investment decision-making for global D&D spend, including developing cases to support investment choices in line with Aristocrat s investment frameworks. Craft and embed global standard processes. Resolve key assumption changes cross-functionally and conduct periodic pulse checks on investment results.
- Collaborate with SVP Product Strategy and EVP Enterprise Program Management to ensure product ideas progress from opportunity identification through prioritization, business cases, and program execution.
- Own the FP&A team that supports global D&D spends in the Product function, coordinating standard processes across Gaming, Interactive, Product Madness, and Product Technology to ensure spend is run, understood, and reported across reporting cycles; identify and manage financial risks and opportunities. Build connections with the VP Finance, Product Technology.
- Support and drive development of the extended D&D Finance team. Manage direct reports (Senior Finance Director, Product FP&A, Finance Director for D&D Portfolio Planning) and an extended team of six, providing direction and mentorship for quality execution and strong partnerships.
- With FP&A support, own the preparation of the D&D global annual budget, forecasts, and monitoring spend vs. expectations across multiple business divisions and currencies.
- Produce regular executive-level analyses on return on investments and visibility of portfolio spend.
- Provide thought leadership to drive continuous improvement; partner with the Finance enterprise reporting center of quality to meet D&D reporting needs.
- Lead projects that allocate existing spend to specific programs of work; develop a taxonomy and simple cost allocations; understand where time is spent through collaboration with D&D leaders.
- May provide commercial business support for M&A activity and strategic projects related to Product & Technology spend.
- As a senior member of the Group Finance team, participate in leadership of the broader function supporting the finance culture vision and transformation journey.
- CA/CPA qualified, MBA or equivalent experience preferred
- 15+ years in a large, multifaceted corporate finance environment, with 8+ years in leadership roles
- Thrives in a global, fast-paced organisation
- Ability to build, maintain, and lead multiple relationships across global locations
- Excellent business judgment and ability to lead discussions with executives to drive key decisions
- Strong change leadership and collaborative people leadership with effective delegation
- Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills

CompensationPay range: $266,756 - $495,405 per year. We pay to market median within ranges; final offers depend on experience, education, skills, location, and internal pay equity.
