What You’ll Do
The Baccarat Manager oversees the daily operations, leadership, and financial performance of the baccarat pit. This position is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, ensuring full compliance with all gaming regulations and internal controls, and providing strong, effective leadership to baccarat dealers and supervisors. The role requires a balanced focus on operational excellence and elevated service standards, with particular attention to premium and VIP players.
ROLEEXPECTATIONS Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited, To The Following
- Stand and circulate throughout Baccarat Room
- Possess thorough knowledge of games assigned to supervise
- Calculate all payoffs
- Understand and monitor compliance with gaming regulations, company policies and procedures
- Operate computer to access credit line, issue credit
- Maintain positive customer relations, evaluate play, and extend complimentary services when appropriate
- Direct and supervise dealers in assigned area
- Evaluate designated team members’ performance on a yearly basis
- Monitor changes of cards and dice; inspect new equipment before allowing into play
- Resolve customer complaints or refer to Shift Manager when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure baccarat work area
- Report equipment malfunctions or discrepancies promptly
- Provide courteous, professional service to all guests
- Other job‑related duties
Supervise table games dealers and supervisors in the baccarat room.
Requirements- Must be 21+ years of age
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience in casino industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be bi‑lingual (Mandarin and English)
- Successful completion of a comprehensive dealer training program or an equivalent amount of relevant experience
- Strong verbal communication and conflict‑resolution skills
- An in‑depth knowledge of the specific casino games offered at the Rio Hotel and Casino, coupled with the ability to quickly adapt to new games and rules
- Strong mathematical and communication skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, with an unwavering commitment to exceeding guest expectations
- The capacity to excel in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure gaming environment
- Meticulous attention to detail and unfailing accuracy in cash handling
- Must meet the age requirement for gaming employees in Las Vegas and hold any required gaming licenses or permits
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
- Two (2) years of experience as a Floor Supervisor
- Ability to speak Cantonese
- Must be able to obtain gaming registration with the Gaming Control Board
- Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines
- Must regularly lift and move up 25 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
