Non-Exempt, On-Call. Hourly Rate: $16.25.
Summary:
The On-Call Parking Attendant is responsible for the safety of guests and their vehicles. Directs traffic to ensure vehicles enter and leave the property safely, assists in setting traffic patterns by arranging temporary gates and cones, assists guests utilizing the parking garage, and answers/assists guests with questions or concerns. Maintains cleanliness of all parking areas including lots, driveways, garage structure, and entry/exit points.
pay range
$16.75/hr - $16.75/hr
Responsibilities- Work closely with other parking attendants to greet and direct incoming guests and visitors
- Monitor parking areas and driveways for debris/obstructions to ensure a safe environment
- Maintain accurate information about events to properly respond to guest inquiries
- Assist with training new employees and demonstrate proper procedures and safety precautions
- Report maintenance and public area issues, potential hazards, and guest injuries/incidents
- Transport guests by cart to and from parking areas
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and a friendly, helpful demeanor
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of two years customer service experience
Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems with a sense of urgency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Highly organized and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and adaptable to assist where needed
Job Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk; fine motor skills for typing
- Outdoor work environment with exposure to noise, dust, and weather conditions
- Ability to lift/carry/move/push/pull up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to drive a vehicle when necessary
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
The hourly rate for this on-call position is $16.25 plus retirement benefits. The Smith Center will comply with applicable wage disclosure regulations.
