Overview
Count Room Supervisor — The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)
Responsibilities- Conducts all facets of the count from the opening of the boxes, preparing of the drop, verification of documentation and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals, as well as any other related task.
- Ensures the integrity of all Soft Count transactions.
- Assists in a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the table drop boxes to determine by table, the amount of the drop and the win.
- Prepares various reports, including stiff sheets, transfer sheets, audit fills and credit slips, reconciles all totals to the Master Summary; forwards all information to appropriate individual(s).
- Handles the slot coin and bill validator drop pick-ups, weighing, wrapping, canning and transferring the slot coin drop to the coin vault.
- Maintains all records, reports, and other required paperwork in the Count Division.
- Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve Count disputes.
- Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Perform time edits for department staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
- 3 years minimum hard/soft count experience required
- Knowledge of CDS, OASIS, CMS or equivalent computer programs, Nevada Gaming Control Board standards and regulations pertaining to count room process required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Numbers-oriented and computer-literate.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Nevada Gaming
- Occasionally sit at desk or table.
- Regularly walk, stand, or stoop.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
- Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
- Need to distinguish between shades of color.
- Vision, Literacy, Hearing, Speech
- Communicate using radios.
