Summary

The Poker Attendant is responsible for greeting guests as they enter the poker area, answering poker and resort-related questions, and assisting guests in getting started with playing poker. This fast-paced role involves coordinating with Poker Supervisors to determine when and where poker games will start, notifying players who wish to participate, and providing outstanding guest service. The Poker Attendant plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.

Job Duties
  • Conduct transactions appropriately and ensure proper documentation for all gaming transactions.
  • Greet and welcome guests, establish rapport, and promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and responding effectively to guest inquiries.
  • Seat players as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Extensive cash handling experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Poker management software.
  • A minimum of one year's customer service experience in a similar or related field.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of previous Gaming/Poker experience in a similar or related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • Nevada Gaming Registration.
Physical Demands
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting/standing.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
