We are currently seeking both a Senior Fire Alarm System Designer and a Fire Alarm System Design Manager to join our close-knit team. Both positions are full-time, on-site roles in our Las Vegas office, offering competitive compensation based on experience.
Current Openings:Experience Level: Senior
Salary: $85K to $110K annually depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and oversee comprehensive fire alarm system designs and construction documents using AutoCAD.
- Review and approve drawings prepared by junior designers, ensuring accuracy and code compliance.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for complex commercial and multi-family projects.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of all design deliverables before submission.
- Lead coordination efforts with third-party design firms, general contractors, electrical trades, AHJs, and manufacturers.
- Anticipate and resolve design challenges before they impact project timelines.
- Assist in value engineering while maintaining code compliance.
- 3+ years of fire alarm system design experience (required)
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (5+ years preferred).
- Experience with both new construction and retrofit projects across commercial and multi-family sectors.
- Regulatory Knowledge (Expert Level):
- International Building Code (IBC)
- International Fire Code (IFC)
- National Electrical Code (NEC / NFPA 70)
- NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code)
- NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code)
- Understanding of local Las Vegas/Clark County amendments and AHJ requirements.
Experience Level: Intermediate
Salary: $65K to $95K annually depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare fire alarm system drawings using AutoCAD.
- Interpret contract drawings, fire protection reports, and project specifications.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and as-builts.
- Communicate effectively with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), general contractors, and other trades.
- Participate in construction site visits as needed to assess conditions.
- Identify project scope changes and prepare accurate estimates.
- Generate scope summaries of material.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting software (3+ years preferred).
- Experience with fire alarm system design or installation (3+ years preferred).
- Working knowledge of:
- International Building Code (IBC)
- International Fire Code (IFC)
- National Electrical Code (NEC / NFPA 70)
- Life Safety Code (NFPA 101)
- National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFPA 72)
- Familiarity with construction documentation including contract drawings, specifications, and RFIs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
