Senior Mechanical Engineer

Join the journey from the very beginning! We are now embarking on a serious growth plan, establishing a team of technical experts to drive the company forward. This is very much the start of phase 2, with a very well funded business which has recently onboarded customers too.

We're looking to welcome two Mechanical Engineers to be the founding members of the team. Naturally, you'd be a key member of the present, but also the future team, establishing the foundations and paving the way for many others to join you. You can be a Senior, Staff, Principal or Lead, we really are open on the amount of experience you have, the important elements are the type of experience, paired with your ability to be a founding member with a motivated and driven mindset to take the business to the next level!

My client operate in the Battery Technology (Battery Management Systems/BMS, Battery Pack, Battery Cells), with commercialised products highly compatible across many industry verticals such as automotive/EV, energy storage, Industrial, data centres and more!

2025 was pivotal, with funding secured and commercializing too! This success now brings the urgent requirement to build the technical team to increase the internal capability, and deliver on multiple contracts/projects. In addition, there'd be plenty of new product development (NPD) too.

We're ideally looking for 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience within areas such as:

• Battery pack, Battery Cell or BMS
• Use of CFD and FEA simulation tools (Star-CMM+, Abaqus, Ansys etc).
• Compliance experience such as vibration, shock, sealing and thermal.
• Experienced collaborating with other engineering disciplines
• Thermal management systems
• Programming and scripting such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB etc
• Systems and requirements management such as BOM creation, PLM systems, DOORS, Jama, validation documentations, test plans and release workflows.

• Battery design (Cell or Pack)
• BESS/ESS
• Electric powertrains
• Aerospace & Defense
• Automotive/EV
