* Job Summary:

** The Chief Engineer oversees the maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring all systems, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and energy controls, are functioning efficiently. This role manages maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and timely completion of projects to maintain guest satisfaction and hotel operations.

** Perform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department.

Skills:

** Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management. Strong knowledge of systems including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and energy controls. Proven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors, including hiring, training, and evaluation.

Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing for maintenance operations.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail in project planning and execution. Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with other departments, vendors, and management. Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols, including training staff on emergency procedures. Exposure to noise, vibration, and mechanical equipment during maintenance tasks.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential on-call responsibilities for emergencies.
