WAVR Technologies is developing breakthrough atmospheric water harvesting systems to provide reliable, sustainable sources of fresh water. Objectives and Responsibilities- Translate scientific insights and lab prototypes into reliable, manufacturable commercial pilots and products, collaborating with the research team
- Perform technical and material analysis to select appropriate materials and production processes to build commercial systems
- Develop and implement solutions and infrastructure for prototype designs to achieve commercial and performance targets
- Manage product testing across target conditions and oversee performance analysis
- Collaborate with CEO to understand and manage customer requirements and goals to inform product design and implementation, support CEO in facilitating technical sales
- Develop scalable plans and processes for manufacturing and field その他 deployment
- Establish engineering systems, SOPs, and checklists for repeatability
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building WAVR’s engineering culture
- BS / MS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience in Industrial Product Design, ideally demonstrating physical scale‑up from lab to pilot/scaled production
- Excellent demonstrated written and oral communications skills – particularly to technical and non‑technical audiences connecting fundamental scientific concepts and challenges to commercial interests
- Experience in material and manufacturing process selection
- Experience with vendor management
- Experience in project management and leading projects
- Thrives in small team environment and likes challenges
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
This role may require occasional travel to vendor facilities and pilot sites.
