Water Resources Lead
Horrocks seeks a Lead Professional Engineer for Water Resources to manage large, multi‑discipline projects in Las Vegas, NV.
Compensation$140,000 - $170,000 per year.
Responsibilities- Lead a project team of engineers, designers, and field personnel in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability of water systems.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with office management and other project managers to share resources.
- Assist in proposal preparation, including oral presentations; prepare scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
- Interface with clients, including state and local agencies.
- Create and troubleshoot challenging engineering and construction issues.
- Prepare, review, and approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimates.
- Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub‑consultants and clients.
- Ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate design activities to assure installation and operations meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly and concisely.
- Perform independent reviews of others’ work, including calculations and drawings.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering License.
- 8+ years of experience in facilities engineering, design, or construction.
- Ability to manage engineering, design, or construction projects.
- Proficiency in Civil3D is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2D modeling, and related software.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with clients and multi‑discipline teams.
- Willingness to work on local projects or in collaboration with other offices.
- Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
