Manufacturing Engineer Warehouse Automation
Own the implementation of smart, connected equipment in warehouse operations. Deploy sophisticated automation technologies to improve efficiency, safety, and scalability across global manufacturing plants. Requires autonomy, strong judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills to influence strategy and coordinate multi‑functional teams.
What You'll Do- Plan and complete the deployment of autonomous equipment (AGVs, AMRs, drones, RFID) in collaboration with OEMs.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and technical scope documents for RFQs; support equipment selection and buy‑off.
- Integrate autonomous systems with existing infrastructure and WMS; validate communication protocols.
- Analyze workflows to identify automation opportunities; develop layouts and material flow strategies for efficiency and safety.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and resolve technical challenges.
- Deliver training programs for operators and maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards; conduct risk assessments.
- Supervise performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep up‑to‑date with emerging automation technologies and recommend upgrades.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing or warehouse engineering with automation project experience, or Master’s degree with 1+ year meaningful experience.
- Skills: Knowledge of lean principles, CAD tools (AutoCAD), simulation software (Arena or similar). Strong problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with the fourth industrial revolution, IoT‑enabled systems, and WMS integration. Ability to analyze data and develop dashboards (Power BI, SQL, Tableau).
- Preferred: Hands‑on experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT devices, predictive maintenance. Knowledge of RFID, Bluetooth IoT devices, and industrial networking protocols.
- Additional: Full onsite role; occasional weekends and travel to other sites. Extensive computer use; occasional use of hand tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA. A Nevada Gaming License could be necessary.

Pay Range$85,771 – $159,290 per year
