Location:
Las Vegas, NV – 100% on site. Full‑time, 1st shift with occasional off‑shift work.
Job Summary
Boeing Phantom Works is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to support proprietary activities. The engineer will serve as a Flight Test Engineer on a test team charged with integrating, testing, and evaluating state‑of‑the‑art technologies. Responsibilities include test article preparation, configuration control, maintenance and inspections, modifications, test planning and execution support, real‑time control room support, and test reporting for critical customer‑directed technology maturation.

Shift & Work Location
Primarily 1st shift; off‑shift work and time away from home will be required on a regular basis. The position is 100% on site at the Las Vegas, NV location.
- Primary interface between maintenance and engineering personnel
- Formulate and communicate daily plans to ensure coordinated actions among test team personnel
- Coordinate and monitor preparation of test article configuration and instrumentation requirements required to perform tests
- Ensure maintenance, inspection, and modification work performed on test article is appropriately tracked and documented
- Track and manage configuration of test article including inventory and mass properties
- Brief maintenance, inspection, and configuration of test article prior to test events
- Coordinate requirements for special test equipment and support equipment
- Implement and enforce safety protocols during test procedures
- Assist test conductors during real‑time test execution in control room environment
- Prepare and publish test reports
- 2+ years of engineering experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively interface with personnel from engineering, manufacturing, and operations disciplines
- Ability to effectively partner with coworkers as well as personnel from government and industry
- Capable of working in dynamic and unstructured environments
- Self‑starter with ability to implement guidance and work independently
- A bachelor’s (or higher) engineering degree
- Prior experience in the aerospace industry, ideally in a flight test environment
- Experience working in a shop, hangar, and/or ramp environment
- Experience with Boeing tactical aircraft test and evaluation processes and products such as Flight Preparation Sheets (FPS) and Test Information Sheets (TIS)
- Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and other technical documentation for application to test planning and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of typical aircraft subsystems including avionics and mission systems
- Experience preparing test plans and procedures for system checkouts and overseeing execution
- Familiarity with aircraft modification processes
- Basic troubleshooting skills to assist with fault isolation and anomaly investigation
- Strong MS Office application skills (primarily MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access)
Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications. Associate level (level 2): $85,850 – $116,150. Applications accepted until Jan. 14 2026.
