NV – Fire Department Protection Engineer – Clark County Fire Department – Closing

Salary: $44.44 – $68.88 Hourly

The Clark County Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Fire Department Protection Engineer position. As a member of our team, you will provide technical review and consultation on all aspects of fire and life safety, specifically as it relates to fire and building codes and National Fire Protection Association standards. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing technical documents and construction plans to provide guidance on proposed design solutions.

Exceptional analytical skills, as well as report writing and research skills is required.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources. Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process.

Applicants for this role must possess valid registration at the time of application as a professional Fire Protection Engineer from any state recognized by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). Applications submitted without a copy of candidates’ Fire Protection Engineer registration are incomplete and will not be considered.
