- Proven experience:
6+ years of fire protection engineering experience, with demonstrated success in project engineering, design, and code compliance. - Educational Foundation:
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - Professional credentials:
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, with strong technical expertise and the ability to provide leadership on complex projects. - Project leadership:

This role offers a unique opportunity for a licensed Fire Protection Engineer (PE) to lead complex projects while driving firm growth. Approximately 70% of your time will focus on project leadership, including client relationship management, technical design, and oversight of staff producing code compliance reports, plan reviews, egress/accessibility drawings, and other critical fire protection deliverables. You will own project execution, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery, while mentoring team members and shaping technical approaches.
The remaining 30% will focus on business development, contributing directly to client acquisition and the firm’s strategic expansion. This position also involves active participation in weekly PM coordination meetings to maintain schedules and client satisfaction, with occasional travel—typically every 1–2 months within the Western U.S.—for project kick-offs, site visits, or industry conferences, thoughtfully planned to minimize overnight stays.
