Graduate Engineer - Las Vegas, Nevada

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater service team in our Las Vegas, Nevada office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Work as a key member of a water/wastewater team under the direction of a Project Engineer/Project Manager.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Research and evaluation of data
• Conduct field reviews and other assessments
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations
• Assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, presentations and exhibits.
• Prepare hydraulic modeling and technical reports for agency review.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings, including horizontal and vertical alignments; plan and profile; utility design and rehabilitation.
• Prepare construction cost estimates/quantity takeoffs
• Coordinate with internal team members, government entities, utility service providers and subconsultants
• Manage task assignments for budget and schedule adherence
• Perform reviews of all work product for accuracy
• Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
• Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet project deadlines
• Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior exposure to Auto Desk Civil3D and Microsoft Office applications

• 0-2+ years of relevant engineering experience
• BS in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months
