Superintendent, Capital Projects Procurement; Las Vegas, NV

We’re looking for a Superintendent, Project Procurement to lead sourcing and purchasing activities for capital projects across Anglo Gold Ashanti. In this role, you will partner closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure our projects receive the right goods and services—safely, efficiently, and in line with AGA standards.

• Oversee contractor procurement activities for assigned projects.
• Ensure sourcing strategies follow our OneSC program—delivering value, efficiency, and full compliance with AGA policies.
• Confirm contractors meet all supply chain and contractual requirements.

• Lead by example to foster a proactive, safety-first, and collaborative work environment.
• Communicate clearly with your team and stakeholders about changes, risks, and progress.
• Support a high-performing team culture aligned with project goals, vision, and values.
• Ensure your team has the resources and guidance to work safely and effectively.
• Prepare timely reports, presentations, and planning documents to support informed decision-making.

• Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure alignment with AGA standards and supplier agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal and contractors on procurement plans, supplier requests, and commercial terms.
• Oversee spare parts procurement, including commissioning, operations, and necessary training.
• Support supplier qualification, relationship management, spend analysis, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate fabrication priorities and manage supplier workloads to meet project schedules.
• Work with field teams on QA/QC, logistics, claims, and surplus management.
• Maintain accurate data and documentation to support project tracking and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracting, ideally in mining, heavy industry, or large capital projects.
• Experience leading procurement activities for capital projects.
• Understanding of commercial terms, contracts, and procurement best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Postgraduate or advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with spare parts procurement for commissioning and operations.
• Familiarity with spend analysis, supplier qualification, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience in logistics, QA/QC, claims management, and material handling.
• Track record of driving cost savings and risk reduction in procurement.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in fostering a proactive and collaborative safety culture.
