Technical Records Assembly Specialist II
Job Summary:
The Technical Records Assembly Specialist II is responsible for continuous analysis and management of aircraft engine, APU, and landing gear assembly back‑to‑birth records to ensure compliance with 14 CFR 121.380. They identify, reconcile, and manage discrepancies with external repair vendors, OEM, and prior operators. The Specialist II coordinates with Powerplant Engineering, Fleet Planning, Materials, Component Repairs, Planning, Fleet Assets and other internal departments regarding scheduled and unscheduled assembly removals and installations.
The Technical Records Assembly Specialist II reports to the Senior Manager of Aircraft Records.

Minimum Requirements- Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as an Allegiant Records Technician or comparable experience in a 91/121/135 operator or DOD transport aircraft records department.
- Knowledge of FAA Airworthiness Directives, IPCs, Service Bulletins related to aircraft, engines, landing gear, and APU’s.
- Proficient understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations for aircraft record‑keeping and retention requirements and ATA coding.
- Proficient in establishing life‑limited component back‑to‑birth traceability and understanding required certification documentation from suppliers and maintainers worldwide.
- Good written and oral communication skills, project management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as CFM Chapter 5, ALS Appendix 7, IPC, Engineering Documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins.
- Proficiency in ERP tracking software such as AIS, TRAX, eMRO, AMOS.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, electronic record‑keeping systems Flydocs, Air Vault, AIS, Trax or similar.
- Attention to detail, strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple duties and priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Must be available on‑call after hours to support maintenance discrepancy issues.
- Associate’s Degree or higher.
- Perform comprehensive baseline analysis of engine, landing gear, and APU documentation to ensure regulatory compliance with 14 CFR 121.380.
- Manage correction and resolution of airworthiness documentation discrepancies with outside repair vendors, OEM, and prior aircraft operators.
- Track all engine, landing gear, and APU builds in TRAX eMRO, ensuring required time limits are correctly tracked.
- Remove, install, and audit all engine, landing gear, and APU assemblies for the fleet.
- Monitor and update TRAX eMRO daily for all assemblies to ensure compliance with mandatory limits.
- Coordinate with Powerplant Engineering, Component Repairs, Purchasing, Line & Heavy MX Planning for scheduled and unscheduled assembly removals.
- Maintain organized files and storage of all assembly records paperwork per 14 CFR 121.380 and Allegiant GMM requirements.
- Review life‑limited component potential purchases to ensure back‑to‑birth traceability and component build specifications.
- Prepare, review, and present life‑limited status reports of removed assemblies for certification.
- Provide daily support to Component Repairs, Engineering, Heavy Maintenance, Regulatory Compliance for records requests via JIRA.
- Compile, prepare, and package assembly records for retirement, lease returns, and sales to support Fleet Assets team.
- Interact with asset sellers/buyers to analyze documentation and manage discrepancy resolutions.
- Train others on all assembly records functions.
- Model Allegiant’s customer service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The role requires standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and using hands to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift or carry up to 20 lbs and perform work on a 24‑hour schedule. Exposure to moderate office noise and environmental fluctuations. Routine attendance required.
