Role of the PositionReporting to the Curriculum Coherence Coordinator, the position of the Registrar Analyst provides support, coordination, and performs specific operational functions within the Curriculum and Academic Services unit in the Office of the Registrar with minimal supervision. The position will perform duties which include the publication of the academic catalogs, assisting with an efficient curriculum workflow, aiding in the analysis of course prerequisites for academic scheduling, assisting with program curriculum changes for implementation in the degree audit system in People Soft, processing requests within both Modern Campus Catalog and Modern Campus Curriculum, and resolving requests from the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee, NSHE Common Course Committee, and other areas directly impacted by the university curriculum.
The Analyst will have the authority to make decisions and will interact with a wide spectrum of internal and external university constituents. The Analyst will assist in achieving curriculum coherence across the university by communicating policies and processes to curriculum changes, attending campus-level committees on curriculum, working with NSHE partners on course numbering, and assisting with data analysis for curriculum content, all for the purpose of advancing student retention, progression, and completion to graduation.
The Analyst also assists the Curriculum Coherence Coordinator in explaining and enforcing curriculum-related policies put forth in the undergraduate and graduate catalogs, as well as those policies established by the University and/or Board of Regents. The Analyst exercises discretion, analytical skills, and independent judgment in daily operational decision making and must adhere to strict confidentiality measures, including compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 – 3 Years of Related Professional Experience
