RoleThe Department of Computer Science at UNLV invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor–In-Residence position within the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering. The Department is one of the fastest growing at UNLV.
Responsibilities- Teaching, advising and mentoring students
- Course development and engagement in service activities at the department, college, university, and community levels
- Advising undergraduate students and participating in the development of courses and curriculum
- Project/lab supervision and management
- Participation in shared governance and grant writing for education, interdisciplinary and teaching-focused grants
- Ph.D. in Computer Science from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or CHEA
- Experience teaching at an “R1 Doctoral University – Very High Research Activity” institution
- Experience teaching courses in Programming Languages and Compiler Construction
