Job Summary The Clerkship Coordinator supports the daily operations of the clinical clerkship program for the Roseman University College of Medicine (RUCOM). This role coordinates student clinical rotations across affiliated hospitals and clinical sites, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives, accreditation standards, and institutional policies. The Clerkship Coordinator manages scheduling, maintains curricular records, monitors student progress and compliance, and provides administrative, analytical, and programmatic support to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education and Clerkship Directors.

This position serves as a key liaison between students, faculty, clinical sites, and academic leadership to ensure efficient and effective clerkship delivery.### ### Essential Functions
• Collaborate with Clerkship Directors and clerkship coordinators to support curriculum implementation and ensure alignment with medical school goals, objectives, and Curriculum Committee policies.
• Coordinate with clinical faculty, hospital staff, and clinical site administrators to support efficient clerkship operations and ensure compliance with accreditation and institutional requirements.
• Prepare, format, and maintain teaching materials, schedules, and curriculum resources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility within designated learning and curriculum systems.
• Coordinate and maintain clerkship schedules, including student rotation assignments, course timelines, and clinical site placements.
• Maintain working knowledge of clerkship curriculum goals, institutional policies, and academic standards to ensure program compliance and consistency.
• Support simulation-based education activities, including preparation of simulation cases, coordination of student participation, and assistance with Objective Structured Clinical Evaluations (OSCEs) and evaluation tracking.
• Monitor and track student clinical experiences, including patient encounter logs, required cases, and procedural compliance using designated systems (e.g., One
45 or equivalent).
• Compile, analyze, and prepare reports on student performance, compliance, and program outcomes for Clerkship Directors and the Associate Dean of Clinical Education.
• Assist with clerkship orientations and support faculty, residents, and trainees in understanding clerkship objectives, expectations, and evaluation processes.
• Serve as a primary liaison between students, faculty preceptors, clinical sites, and academic leadership to facilitate effective communication and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain and regularly review clerkship syllabi and curriculum documentation, recommending updates as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in clerkship, curriculum, and clinical education meetings and remain current on academic medicine practices and standards.
• Ensure adherence to RUCOM policies, procedures, and institutional objectives.
• Travel between affiliated clinical sites as needed to support clerkship operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support clinical education programs.### ###

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or program coordination experience, preferably in higher education, healthcare, or medical education.
• Experience coordinating schedules, managing records, and supporting complex programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database or learning management systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.###
