Job Title: Music Teacher

Reports to: Campus Principal

Location: In-Person, CASLV School Campus – Las Vegas, NV;
Henderson, NV

Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month (School Year)

The Music Teacher is responsible for developing students’ interest and ability for creative expression in music. This role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons in general music education, instrumental or choral performance, and music theory. The teacher fosters an appreciation for music as part of a well-rounded educational experience.

• Design and implement music instruction aligned with state and school standards.
• Teach general music, choral, and/or instrumental classes as needed.
• Organize and direct school performances such as concerts and assemblies.
• Support and encourage student participation in music programs and competitions.
• Develop lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional techniques and musical genres.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into other subjects.
• Maintain and inventory musical instruments and supplies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field required.
• Valid Nevada teaching license with music endorsement preferred.
• Experience teaching music in a K-12 setting preferred.
• Proficiency in a range of musical instruments and vocal techniques.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering a love for music and creativity in students.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at a CASLV school campus. This role operates in a classroom and performance setting and involves frequent student interaction. The position requires standing, speaking, listening, and occasional lifting or moving of musical equipment. Evening or weekend hours may be required for performances or rehearsals.
