Description:

** DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is seeking a Part-Time Early Childhood Presenter 1 who is a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual that can work as part of an interpretive floor team comprised of adults and teen volunteers and interns.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while creating a mission-oriented environment with excellent customer service and efficiency.## Qualifications

* Job Responsibilities:

*** Interact in a positive and engaging manner with teachers, students and families and explain hands-on exhibits.
* Present interactive and educational demonstrations and assist with the development of special activities.
* Present public programs to large audiences inside and outside of the Museum setting.
* Support volunteers throughout the Museum. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for children and learning and will have experience working in the field of Science and Nature Education.
** Experience/Qualifications
*** High school diploma required.
* Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an Early Childhooddiscipline or related discipline preferred.
* Teaching experience highly preferred.

* Physical Requirements:

** Include and are not limited to light and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), sitting, bending, walking and standing.
** Example of Standard Part-Time Schedule (May vary depending on business needs):
** Monday: OFF Tuesday: OFF Wednesday: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm  Thursday: 9:45 am - 5:00 pm Friday: OFF Saturday: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm  Sunday: 11:45 am - 5:00 pmMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional evenings.
** Compensation:**  $14.00/hour
