Overview
The HVACR Instructor is responsible for performing tasks that will increase the productivity and efficiency of the college. They will maintain the professionalism and decorum expected of the staff at Northwest Career College. Requirements: EPA Section 608 Universal certification and three years of experience as an HVAC technician.
Roles And Responsibilities- Teach HVAC courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
- Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
- Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
- Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code
- Ensure quality and quantity of instruction aligns with stated objectives of the school and industry
- Maintain classroom and school atmosphere conducive to maximum learning and retention
- Instruct students during classroom experience
- Administer Online Courses
- Tutoring sessions online and in-person
- Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information
- Administer final exams (written and/or practical) on the last day of the module
- Submit final course grades before the end of the week after term end
- Other duties as assigned by the program supervisor
REQUIRED:
Minimum of five years of non-overlapping experience as an HVAC Technician and hold one of the following credentials: a certificate, diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in the accredited discipline (BAS, GMS, or HVACR) or be a graduate of a state or Department of Labor approved apprenticeship program.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
- REQUIRED:
EPA Section 608 Technician Universal Certification - PREFERRED: EPA Section 609 for technicians servicing motor vehicle A/C systems

$31.25/ Hourly (Salary Based on Scheduled Hours, Education & Experience)
