Regan Margetts Joins Nevada Arts Council as Arts Learning Specialist

Regan Margetts joins the Nevada Arts Council as the arts learning specialist serving the southern Nevada region. She will coordinate and execute K-12 and lifelong learning arts education programs, including Nevada Poetry Out Loud, the Teaching Artist Directory, and Creative Aging programs. She also will assist with arts learning grants that improve teaching practices and ensure the high-quality delivery of programming throughout the state.

As the Nevada Arts Council continues to add more arts and health projects, she will coordinate the use of arts and creativity to aid in healing, well‑being, quality‑of‑life initiatives, and the aging of Nevada’s residents.

“I create arts access for Nevadans of all ages and backgrounds,” Margetts said. “The arts are an essential aspect of learning and well‑being, and this role provides arts learning resources for everyone, including those in rural or underrepresented communities.”

Margetts graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She previously worked at the City of Henderson and Henderson Libraries in outreach and program coordination. She finds that the arts foster community connections and provide ways for people to communicate and share experiences. She is excited to build and strengthen partnerships across southern Nevada to expand arts education.

“Regan’s experience in community outreach, combined with her passion for communications and public service, makes her an invaluable addition to our Arts Learning program,” said Tony Manfredi, Nevada Arts Council executive director. “She will play a key role in strengthening our impact across southern Nevada, ensuring that all Nevadans have access to the transformative power of the arts.”

Margetts is based in the agency’s Las Vegas office.
