Position OverviewAs a faculty member, you will nurture inquisitive and research-based critical thinkers, communicators, leaders, and lifelong learners, creating a student-centered environment that reflects diversity, lifelong learning, and community impact.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement innovative and effective teaching methods that align with our mission of unlocking student potential.
- Infuse cultural elements into the curriculum to celebrate diversity and foster understanding.
- Participate in community-building initiatives with colleagues, parents, and community members.
- Prioritize individual student needs and create an environment where each student feels valued and empowered.
- Commit to professional development, staying informed about best practices and contributing to program improvement.
- Inspire students to become socially conscious leaders, instilling a sense of responsibility to contribute to positive community change.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Nevada teaching certification/license, with appropriate endorsements.
- Proficiency in English.
- Commitment to the VVA Mission and Vision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cultural competence and appreciation for diversity.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic collaborative work environment.
- Prior experience in K‑8 education.
- Prior experience working on a collaborative, dynamic team.
- Proficiency or fluency in a second language.
