Part‑Time Instructor, Machining – FY 2026

Applications will be considered on an as needed basis determined by course availability.

• Lecture and Lab Instruction – Machine Tool Technology (MTT) courses covering Metrology, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Machining, CNC Milling and Turning (Lathe), CADD and Additive or Subtractive Manufacturing.
• Lab Procedures and Safety – Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence to safety precautions.
• Syllabi and Course Materials – Develop syllabi and course materials in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives.
• Student Evaluation – Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Advisement – Provide advisement to students.
• Staff Meetings – Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.

• Associate of Applied Science degree in Machining or related engineering field.
• OR 5 years of relevant industry experience.

• 10 years work experience in Machining and/or Manufacturing or Industrial Technologies.
• 2 years experience teaching in Career and Technical Education.
• Leadership/ Management Experience.
• Experience teaching on‑line/hybrid classes, Canvas.
• Experience creating college curriculum.
• Experience developing an industrial lab in a college setting, such as a Machining, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Technologies.
• Experience working in diverse multicultural situations.
• Community college or technical school teaching experience.
• Excellent presentation skills including strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Computer literate in MS Office.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines.
• Industrial Certifications such as NIMS, NC3.

MTT courses will be primarily taught at the CSN Henderson Campus and the City of Henderson Debra March Center of Excellence, in‑person and may be scheduled during the day, evenings, and or weekends.

$925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
