Part - Time Instructor, Diesel Technology - FY 2026

Job Description

• Lecture and Lab instruction for Diesel Technology courses.
• Provide Lab Safety Training.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide advisement to students.
• Some program and/or curriculum development may be requested.
• Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the Diesel Heavy Truck/Equipment Industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technologies.
• Cummins/Caterpillar/Detroit Engine Certified.
• Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
• Knowledge of computer classroom technologies.
• Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.

Schedule: Diesel Technology courses are taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person and are scheduled during the day, afternoon, and evening.

Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
