Part‑Time Instructor, RBT – Applied Psychology – FY 2026
This job announcement is not an offer of employment. This requisition has been established to collect a robust candidate pool for part‑time positions that may become available within the designated discipline a part‑time position becomes available, the hiring department will review the application materials of the candidates who have applied and will invite select candidates to interview based on their qualifications.
Should a candidate be selected for a part‑time instructor position, no minimum course load is guaranteed, and teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, minimum student enrollment and/or department need. There is no reimbursement for travel expenses for local or out‑of‑area/out‑of‑state candidates, and there is no guarantee of continued or future part‑time and/or full‑time employment.
Responsibilities
- Teach online courses in the Applied Psychology curriculum, drawing from real‑world experience.
- Specifically, teach Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) content to prepare students for a career.
- Multi‑campus teaching may be required to meet departmental needs.
- Maintain records, submit grades, and communicate with department and college personnel using established college/department protocol.
- Develop syllabi and course materials in accordance with college policy.
- Teach the course objectives in accordance with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB).
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
- Provide students with syllabi that meet college, department, and program requirements.
- Effectively evaluate student performance while meeting assessment guidelines; submit, as necessary, the completed coursework authorization to the BACB board.
- Communicate with students in a timely manner.
- Complete assessment assignments.
Master's degree in good standing and currently active as a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst® through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience teaching College Psychology or related courses.
- Experience with CANVAS or other learning management systems.
- Skills in the use and operation of basic computer software.
$925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by course and semester.
