OverviewThis position provides direct oversight and management of the Scheduling unit in the Office of the Registrar and indirect supervision of the block enrollment function and the Curriculum unit. The Scheduling unit collaborates with academic departments, schools, and colleges to build the university course schedule each term. The Associate University Registrar supervises staff in the Scheduling unit and coordinates their efforts, and oversees block enrollment via the Enrollment Coordinator.
The role works to ensure the class schedule remains responsive to the needs of new and continuing students and supervises the Assistant University Registrar for Curriculum and the curriculum unit staff.
All positions in Academic Affairs contribute to the core mission to increase enrollment and promote equitable student success. The role partners with the University Registrar to set annual goals aligned with institutional initiatives, identify and track core metrics, and assess success. The position contributes to enrollment growth, removing barriers to student success, promoting inclusive access to resources, and supporting the lifecycle of students.

Evening and/or weekend work and occasional travel may be required for leadership roles.
Responsibilities- Provide direct oversight and management of the Scheduling unit in the Office of the Registrar.
- Indirect supervision of the block enrollment function and the Curriculum unit; supervise staff and coordinate shared efforts.
- Oversee block enrollment in coordination with building and maintaining the class schedule to meet student needs.
- Supervise the work of the Assistant University Registrar for Curriculum and Academic Services and staff of the curriculum unit.
- Collaborate with the University Registrar to set annual goals and identify core metrics to assess success.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (recognized by US Department of Education and/or CHEA).
- 5–7 years of related professional experience.
- 5–7 years of supervisory experience and 3–5 years of management experience.
- Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
- Substantial professional experience in the Registrar’s Office (minimum 5–7 years) with supervisory and managerial responsibilities impacting office staff and the university community.
- UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements (e.g., four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree plus two additional years).
