We are seeking an energetic teacher that is passionate about teaching children creativity and good problem‑solving skills. This position requires at least 3‑5 years experience as a lead Pre‑K teacher, to join our team! You will be leading a class of Pre‑K assessing their current academic level and designing instruction to meet their collective and individual needs. We want to help children reach their full potential and prepare them for kindergarten.

You will create weekly lesson plans and monthly newsletters. We work on age‑appropriate learning activities to build confidence and independence. We also schedule events such as Harvest Festivals, Christmas Programs and visits from Santa Claus, Easter Egg Hunts with Mr. Easter Bunny. We celebrate holidays with classroom parties and teach the children to be giving and helpful to people in need such as our St.

Jude's Children's Research Hospital fundraising events, raising money for children with cancer. Our school focuses on teaching our students to be kind, respectful and compassionate to others.

• Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum
• Teach pre‑reading and pre‑math skills
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
• Use Love and Logic and Montessori instructional methods and learning techniques
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel
• Assess student’s skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones

• Must have at least 3‑5 years experience as a lead teacher
• CDA certification a plus
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Problem‑solving and mediation skills
