Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Burn Surgery and Trauma Surgery. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality medical care to patients requiring specialized treatment for burn injuries and trauma cases. You will be involved in a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, contributing to the well-being and recovery of individuals in need of urgent medical attention.

This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of surgery while working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform surgical procedures on patients with burn injuries and trauma conditions.
  • Evaluate and manage patients in the emergency department and intensive care unit.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide post-operative care and follow-up consultations for patients.
  • Participate in teaching and training programs for medical students and residents.
  • Conduct research and contribute to academic publications in the field of burn and trauma surgery.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Attend departmental meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in General Surgery with a focus on Burn Surgery and Trauma Surgery.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Proven experience in managing complex burn and trauma cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Schedule:

8-hour shifts, 5 days per week

Daily Volume: 1 case

Cases:
Burn coverage

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
