WhatNuvia Offers
Pay: $23-$44 per hour
Base pay: $23-$28 per hour
Up to $2,000 monthly bonuses averaging out to roughly $12 per hour
Up to $2,000 quarterly bonuses averaging out to roughly $4 per hour
Retention bonuses up to $2,500 per year
Closed Airway Surgeries:
Most operations you assist with are closed airway, making your job easier and safer for patients
Robust Dental Leadership Structure:
Onsite dental assistant lead, regional dental assistant leads, and a dental assistant operations manager who started as a dental assistant and can help you grow your skill set
Compensation:
Competitive base pay plus center performance bonuses and yearly anniversary bonus

The dental assistant (surgical assistant) plays a crucial role in assisting surgeons and restorative dentists so they can focus on delivering premium, safe, and memorable service. The role includes setup, surgery, taking impressions and pouring molds, X-rays, placing orders, and working with patients.
Responsibilities- Live company core values
- Take impressions and pour up molds
- Take patient photos
- Take X-rays and Cone Beams
- Set up appointments in scheduling platform
- Set up and break down operation rooms, ensuring no one needs to leave the surgery room
- Place orders for basic and implant supplies
- Adjust and relining of prosthesis
- Assist the doctor during a variety of surgical implant procedures
- Deliver pre- and post-op instructions
- Sterilization and daily cleaning
- Manage patient expectations and deliver top-tier patient care
- Registered Dental Assistant with all proper certifications
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Self-starter who works well as part of a team
- Patient-centric with good communication skills
- Outgoing and empathetic
- Flexible and quick learner
- Great organizational skills and high level of office aptitude
- Surgery prep and start:
Prepare instruments and patients for surgery, review surgery expectations with the surgeon and CRNA, assist the CRNA with intubation and assist with surgery - Morning huddle:
Review the day’s schedule and partner with your team to discuss patient needs - Meet lab deadlines:
Work efficiently to ensure prosthetics are received promptly - Overcoming obstacles:
Problem-solve daily to address equipment challenges, patient delays, and concerns to maintain a top-tier patient experience - Perform circular tasks:
Order supplies, sterilize, ensure compliance, and handle lab requests or questions - End of day:
Complete surgery reports and review patient charts, lab cases, and implants to plan for the next day
