The Creative Build and Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring that all aspects of the project are managed effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of design software and production processes, along with experience in creative production. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional project management skills, strong knowledge of design software, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality creative products on time and within budget.
What you'll do- Collaborate with the Production team to develop comprehensive production event orders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and standards.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff, including recruitment and training.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and production goals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement, implementing measures to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across production operations.
- Collaborate with Creative, Studio, Warehouse and Logistics, and other departments to coordinate production activities seamlessly, addressing any arising issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage inventory levels effectively, ensuring the availability of materials and resources required to support smooth production operations.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of production equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime through proactive maintenance strategies.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to track progress, identify trends, and make informed decisions aimed at continuous operational improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, teamwork, effective communication, and accountability within the production team.
- Undertake any other related responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in meeting organizational needs.
- Review creative brief + RFP and partner with sales, creative leadership, creative specialists, environmental designers, and graphic designers to ensure creative concepts are evaluated for feasibility including financial implications and potential risks prior to sale—providing practical solutions while maintaining the creative vision.
- Partner with creative, sales, production and vendors to provide detailed costs, specs and shop drawings for creative concepts.
- Once creative concepts are sold, work closely with production and services leadership to select and purchase necessary materials to be used in the production process and perform necessary quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Attend Creative, Sales, Production, Services and Client meetings as requested.
- Effectively communicate project status, financial implications, potential risks, challenges and production timeline issues.
