Make-up Artist for Shrek, the Musical at MGM's Beau Rivage

Rand Productions is seeking an experienced, skilled and creative makeup artist to join our productions of the hit Broadway musical “Shrek” performing this summer at MGM’s Beau Rivage, in Biloxi, MS.

Must be 21+ years of age.
Roles in this project
Looking for an experienced makeup artist that will be in charge of all prosthetics and make-up (application, education, air brushing if/where needed, etc.) for the show. Rand Productions will supply all prosthetics, adhesives (e.g., spirit gum), and required specialty make-up and paint. Makeup Artist will be in charge of designing and applying the daily prosthetics and makeup for Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey.
The Artist will be responsible for teaching and overseeing the make-up for Papa Shrek, Mama Shrek, Young Shrek, Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Baby Bear, Wicked Witch, 3 Pigs and any other characters with specialty make-up/prosthetics.
Responsibilities include:
- Replicating bold, character-driven stage makeup (including fantasy and prosthetic-style looks) similar to, but not copying, the original Broadway production
- Applying and maintaining makeup for all performances
- Collaborating with the EP/Director and senior production team on final design and implementation
- Ensuring consistency of looks throughout the run
- Assisting with makeup prep, hygiene, and quick changes as needed
- Experience with theatrical or stage makeup (fantasy/character makeup is a plus)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live theatre environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
- Available for rehearsals, tech week, and performances
- Dates: Rehearsals May 16
- June 10, 2026 on-site at the MGM Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS. - Runs June 11 - July 2, 2026 (19 show days, 24 performances).
- Dark days:
At least 6 during rehearsals and 3 during show’s run. Schedule to be provided. - Compensation: $3,500 - $6,000 “all-in” (depending on experience, if you are providing an add’l assistant, and other factors determined during the interview process).
- Provisions: Round trip travel; first-class accommodations at the MGM’s Beau Rivage [double occupancy] and/or a first-class off-site location for the first 3 rehearsal weekends; 3 FREE meals per day included and general resort privileges (e.g., resort pool, fitness center, discounts, etc.). Biweekly pay schedule.
