Overview

TEAM FORD LINCOLN is hiring a Brake & Front-End Technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues related to a vehicle's front-end components, including suspension, steering, wheels, tires, and alignment, utilizing specialized equipment to ensure proper ride, handling, and tire wear by adjusting components as needed; in addition, you will also be responsible for identifying problems with steering geometry and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal vehicle performance.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair front-end components (suspension, steering, wheels/tires, alignment) using specialized equipment to ensure proper ride, handling, and tire wear.
  • Identify steering geometry problems and perform adjustments to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs and test vehicles to determine required repair work.
  • Complete paperwork and documentation for service repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with changing technology.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years automotive technician/mechanic experience or knowledge
  • ASE and manufacturer certification desired
  • Ability to identify brake concerns, recommend and perform repairs
  • Experience in alignment, suspension, and front-end repairs
  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning to required specifications
  • Perform vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs and test vehicles to determine applicable repair work
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for service repairs
  • Operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination; mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork; ability to collaborate in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Basic computer competencies and willingness to participate in ongoing training
