Summary: The Field Operations Coordinator (FOC) plays a vital role in supporting operational efficiency by coordinating field‑related documentation, ensuring effective use and implementation of Metafield (the tracking and reporting software), and assisting with fleet activity tracking. The FOC serves as a key liaison between field teams and leadership, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.

The FOC primarily works in an office environment to support operational processes, training initiatives, and Metafield implementation. The role involves collaboration with field staff, supervisors, and leadership to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with company policies.

This is a full time, nonexempt position.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist the Field Builder with daily operational tasks, ensuring schedules, priorities, and resources are aligned across all GES offices.
  • Drive and monitor field initiatives, ensuring they have clear objectives, assigned responsibilities, and measurable timelines.
  • Develop agendas for field operations meetings in coordination with the Field Builder, ensuring topics focus on operational improvements, initiative progress, and problem resolution.
  • Document meeting discussions, decisions, and assigned actions; maintain an action log and track follow‑up to ensure timely completion.
  • Receive updates and reports from Field Supervisors and Field Builders, consolidating them into progress summaries for leadership review.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational initiatives, performance metrics, and process improvement outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between GES and Metafield (MF) support, coordinating all communication, troubleshooting, and updates.
  • Track, document, and follow up on MF tickets, system issues, and enhancement requests until resolution.
  • Perform MF administrative functions, including system configuration, user account management, and permissions updates.
  • Understand and maintain proficiency in MF system functionality to support users and field operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve MF usage and integrate best practices into GES workflows.
  • Coordinate training schedules, certification tracking, and development programs for field staff, in collaboration with Field Supervisors.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and quality standards through documentation and communication.
  • Support safety compliance tracking and maintain related operational records.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required or Desirables:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction operations, administrative coordination, or project management support.
  • Prior experience with Metafield or similar construction/inspection management software strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in meeting facilitation, documentation, and process tracking.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, inspection procedures, and applicable codes are preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for agenda development, meeting documentation, and progress reporting.
  • Ability to hold others accountable through structured follow‑up and progress tracking.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools and software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and project/task management systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Metafield administration, ticket tracking, and system troubleshooting.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and field staff without direct supervisory authority.
  • Understanding of safety documentation, certification tracking, and compliance requirements.
