Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager
Leveraging automation tools and technology, the Senior Accountant, Interactive helps AGS meet internal and external financial reporting requirements and assists the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting in maintaining operational and tactical activities required to achieve and maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S. (GAAP) reporting requirements across all business units.
Responsibilities- Identify, design, and implement solutions to automate repetitive accounting processes
- Leverage tools such as Power BI, SQL, or ERP automation features to streamline reporting and workflows
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve system integrations and data accuracy across financial platforms
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies to enhance financial analytics and improve accounting processes
- Reduce manual journal entries and spreadsheet dependencies through system enhancements and workflow redesign
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
- Process monthly revenue statements and invoices and submit these to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting for approval prior to sending to customers
- Responsible for the collection efforts of account receivables
- Responsible for payment runs of accounts payable
- Coordinate with account managers to consistently report accurate and timely financial information
- Assist with the preparation of any financial information requested by management within Interactive segment
- Document and standardize interactive accounting procedures to improve scalability and cross-team consistency
- Mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff, including on automation tools, data analysis, and best practices in process optimization
- Maintain and control of the general ledger sub‑ledgers
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions by providing recommendations to management
- Perform monthly and year‑end close processes
- Ensure that all assigned GL balance sheet accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis
- Accomplish accounting objectives by ensuring policies and procedures are followed
- Act as the accounting liaison for department heads to address questions/concerns to ensure business needs are being met
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide recommendations to management
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary information and answering queries
- Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company policy and guidelines
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing assigned projects as needed
- Excellent oral and written communications and strong presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in accounting
- CPA preferred
- Basic knowledge of GAAP Requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to operate effectively and efficiently under time pressures and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel Knowledge (including Pivot Tables and Xlookups)
- Dynamics 365 Business Central experience a plus
