Technical Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert on accounting standards, guidance, and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and other regulatory frameworks. You will play a key role in enhancing the organization's financial control environment while supporting complex accounting processes and transactions.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough reviews of transaction documents, research relevant accounting standards, and prepare detailed technical accounting memos to determine appropriate treatment for complex or unusual transactions.

- Evaluate the impact of new accounting pronouncements and ensure compliance with updated financial reporting standards.

- Analyze and improve current accounting practices and procedures, recommending enhancements to strengthen operational efficiency and accuracy.

- Support the maintenance of a robust internal control framework in alignment with compliance requirements.

- Provide expert guidance to the accounting team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and implementation of new accounting standards, ensuring technical accounting matters are addressed effectively.

- Lead or assist in the adoption and integration of new processes related to business operations, accounting, and financial reporting.

- Manage special projects involving technical accounting considerations, including mergers and acquisitions.

- Foster strong cross-functional relationships across departments, including Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Operations, to promote collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.

- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and supporting documentation as needed. Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in public accounting or a technical accounting role.

- Active CPA license is required.

- Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools such as Black Line, and ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle etc.).

- Strong expertise in financial reporting, including SEC and internal reporting processes.

- Proven ability to manage complex accounting tasks, such as auditing, budgeting, and balance sheet reconciliation.

- Excellent analytical and communication skills to effectively interpret and present financial data.
