Staff Accountant

I'm partnering with a premier, long-standing Architecture/Engineering firm in the Las Vegas area. This firm is recognized for its incredible stability, with a significant number of employees boasting 20+ years of tenure. They are currently seeking a technically sound, "no-ego" accounting professional to join their collaborative business office.

This is a critical "doer" role designed for an accounting professional who understands the "why" behind the numbers but enjoys the "how" of daily operations. You will manage full-cycle payroll and accounts payable while supporting essential month-end close and audit activities.

• Payroll Processing
  :
  Execute bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees, ensuring accuracy in project coding, benefits deductions, and compliance.
• Accounts Payable
  :
  Manage full-cycle AP, including vendor invoice verification, weekly ACH/check executions, and expense reimbursement processing.
• General Ledger & Reconciliations
  :
  Record daily cash receipts in Deltek Vantagepoint and perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Compliance & Tax
  :
  Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns and assist with annual 1099 reporting.
• Audit Support
  :
  Provide necessary documentation and support for various external audits, including 401(k) and financial reviews.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a core focus on full-cycle payroll and accounts payable management.
• Industry
  :
  Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry is preferred.
• Technical Skills
  :
  High proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables/VLOOKUPs) required; familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision is a plus.
