JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting Caesars Sports book in the daily reconciliation of system reporting including regulatory assignments including mail pay and tax filings.
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
* High volume data entry
* Investigate cash variances
* Work with operations to solve any discrepancies
* Log mail pay for processing
* Remit reoccurring tax payments and filings
* Complete daily audit of gaming reports
* Log and submit all reporting variances
* Respond to internal/external inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
* Additional duties as assigned by the accounting department and managers as required
* Prepared to cover for and support colleagues when required
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
* 0-3 years of gaming accounting experience
* Accounting or related degree a plus
* Understands finance and has experience working in an accounting function
* Experience with office work, preferably in a sports betting company
* Diligent and with an eye for detail
* STRONG Excel skills, macro knowledge a plus
* Working knowledge of Oracle accounting software a plus
* Ability to work independently
* Accuracy a must
* Ability to demonstrate initiative
* Enjoy providing a service
* Keen to expand their expertise
* Works well with people at all levels
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
* Must be able to sit for extended periods
* Must be able to type and talk on the phone for extended periods
* Regular attendance in the office
