Senior Accountant

Description

We are looking for a hands-on experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will manage the full-cycle accounting for a group of related entities. In addition, each entity operates with different processes, and this role will play a key part in streamlining and standardizing accounting processes and systems across all companies. .

Responsibilities:

+ Manage full-cycle accounting for three entities, including a nightclub

+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for each entity

+ Oversee month-end and year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review financial statements for all entities

+ Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations

+ Record revenue, expenses, journal entries, and intercompany transactions

+ Process accounts payable and ensure payments are timely ()

+ Process payroll for approx. 70 employees and handle payroll entries and related reconciliations

+ Evaluate existing accounting systems and processes across entities and lead efforts to streamline and standardize them

+ Partner with ownership to implement a unified accounting system and consistent reporting structure

+ Prepare and file sales & use tax and other business taxes as needed.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax and regulatory requirements

+ Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax preparers

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed

+ Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

+ CPA designation is required.

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, including payroll

+ Experience managing multiple entities

+ Strong understanding of GAAP

+ Experience in hospitality or nightclub accounting is a plus

+ High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

+ Proficiency in accounting software and Excel

+

Experience with business and corporate tax preferred
