We are seeking the right full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team of three full-time DVMs with diverse professional interests. Both new graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply.

You’ll never practice alone here. Emergency coverage is handled through rotating on-call shifts shared among associates, with assistant support and back-up always available. After-hours emergency care is limited to established clients, with initial triage provided by Animal Health Link to ensure a sustainable and supported on-call experience. Our core staff brings over 125 combined years of experience at this practice, includes 15+ veterinary technicians, and is supported by a full-time Practice Manager focused on keeping workflows smooth and doctors supported.

This is a surgery-forward practice with a diverse caseload that keeps medicine exciting. You’ll see everything from wellness and internal medicine to routine and advanced soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, large animal procedures, and dentistry. The clinic is fully equipped with an in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography (stationary, dental, and mobile), endoscopy, and a fully outfitted Bowie truck. We also offer integrative therapies including hydrotherapy, acupuncture, cold laser, chiropractic, and PEMF, with CCRT and CCRA on staff.

An established satellite location in a nearby rural community provides additional variety and room to pursue individual interests.

The practice proudly houses and administers The Schumacher Grant, a community-based initiative supporting veterinary care for underserved pets, first-responder K-9 units, and local outreach programs. Doctors who are interested have opportunities to participate in meaningful community service and outreach throughout Las Cruces and Southern New Mexico, adding purpose and impact beyond day-to-day clinical work.

Compensation includes a monthly base salary plus a percentage of monthly clinic gross, with additional bonus pay for each emergency call seen. Background checks and/or drug testing may be required due to ongoing contracts with law enforcement and working canine units.

DVM of equivalent with necessary licensing required. FT considered along with all experience levels.
