Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in New Mexico
. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
  • Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
  • Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
Requirements
  • Licensed in New Mexico by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
  • Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
  • 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
  • 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
Skills
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
